With the help of the Vulcan, Bajorans, Orion Syndicate and Smugglers Coalition - the Federation fleet is successful in pushing the Alliance back from Betazed. Back on Earth, Fleet Admiral Garrison is shown a future in which his actions condemn the entire Federation. He decides to continue his fight against the Alliance, in his belief that the future is not written.
